Influence of military-political blocs on security of energy supply in the region of Central Asia within the frames of the shanghai cooperation organization
Abstract
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) increases the weight of energy problems, which in addition to the military-political issues are now more qualified as avital element of security policy. This is evidenced by the establishment in July 2007, «Energy Club» SCO. Thus, as the military exercises, bilateral or multilateral cooperation of the SCO countries in the energy is converted into a common organization’s approach to the problems in this area, although it is not clear where this will lead.
